Ubuntu also seems to look good, from the little exposure I’ve had to it.

It’s got Win XP Pro SP2 on it, but for ages I’ve wanted to get back into Linux, preferably a Debian flavor. I’m never going to be a hacker, but I do want to use it, familiarize myself with it, support it.
What’s a good current distro that might install easily in my configuration?
